ART SLAVE

Creating is compulsory hence Art Slave.  The unique aspect of my craft is that each natural fiber garment begins as white material. The distinct textile designs are individually created in my studio with a combination of screen-printing, batik, shibori and direct dye applications.  Each garment is then constructed from my own original patterns.  Textiles embody the boundless possibility for the integration of beauty and function.  I am immersed in the process and love of design from initial concept of color and pattern, to the hands-on creation and finishing.  I endeavour to create comfortable garments that combine fine craftsmanship with timeless style to produce art to live in.
